The business of Tesuque Casino remained shut since a cyber attack was discovered on September 25, according to a news release from Tesuque Pueblo. It was unclear whether the 3-year-old casino, which is located adjacent to the Santa Fe Opera along US 84/284, will reopen on Friday.
The casino took efforts to repair the damage after detecting the cyber attack, according to the pueblo’s news release.
Casino’s interim general manager Floyd Samuel stated that nothing was hacked or violated in terms of consumer data. We were incredibly lucky to be able to pinpoint this problem so quickly. There was no serious security compromise.
They claim to be investigating over the situation and trying to improve their cyber security measures. The casino hasn’t offered a specific reopening date, and it hasn’t disclosed whether the assault exposed anyone’s personal information.
We installed new security measures and policies,” Samuel further mentioned.
Tesuque Casino will reopen with the 70 percent capacity that it had in April. However, the Cottonwood Kitchen is still shut and will stay closed due to the pandemic, however the bar and lounge will offer a restricted menu.
Mark Mitchell, Gov of Tesuque said that we were able to control and resolves the problem as quickly as possible thanks to our quick-response staff and external IT experts. We will continue to maintain a high level of security and confidentiality for our clients and staff.
